Card activation

Let’s get your card up and running! Whether it’s a brand-spanking-new card or a reissued card, we’ve got easy ways to help you get started.

Call to activate

Call 1-866-762-0558, then:

  • Input your card number
  • Enter the CVV (on the back of the card)
  • Provide the last 4 digits of the SSN and Date of Birth of the primary account holder

Card Controls

Activate your card in Online or Mobile Banking:

  • Go to "Accounts" and "Card Controls" (or "More," then "Accounts" from the Mobile App).
  • Select the card and click on Set up card.
  • Enter the CVV number (on the back of your card), enter the expiration date.
  • Click on Activate Card.

ATM transaction (for Reissued Cards)

If you received a reissued card, simply use your current PIN code during an ATM transaction to activate the card.

Destroy old cards

After activating your new or reissued card, remember to:

  • Deactivate old cards through Card Controls in Online and Mobile Banking or by contacting a representative.
  • Destroy all old cards.

How can I tell if my card is new or reissued?

New Cards:

  1. Ordered when the account was opened
  2. A replacement for a lost or stolen card
  3. You requested a new card number

Reissued Cards (same card number and PIN as your current card):

  1. Replaces an expired card
  2. Reissued due to a damaged or defective card

How do I order foreign currency?

Schedule Appointment — schedule an in-branch or phone appointment to order foreign currency.

Secure Message — Send a secure message through Online or Mobile Banking with the following information:

  1. Foreign currency type.
  2. USD Amount or foreign currency amount
  3. Denominations (small, large, or mixed)
  4. Travel destination
  5. Travel dates
  6. Phone number

A Member Relationship Specialist will contact you about your order and confirm theinformation before the order is placed.

What are the foreign exchange rates and fees?

You will be provided the exchange rate for the date of entry and a follow-up e-mail to determine whether you wish to continue the purchase 7-10 days prior to your vacation.

The exchange rate is subject to change.

There is a $14 shipping fee.

Is there a maximum amount of foreign currency I can order?

Yes, the limit for foreign currency orders is $3,000.

Foreign currency orders will be rounded to whole numbers to match denomination options. For example, an order of $2,097.63 will be rounded to $2,100.00.

How long will it take to receive my foreign currency?

It takes 7-10 business days for the foreign currency to arrive after the order is placed. A Yolo FCU representative will contact you once your order is received.

What do I need to bring for Notary services and is there a fee?

All individuals signing the document need to be physically present. In addition, everyone involved needs to bring a valid photo ID.

Per California standards, there is a $15 per signature fee.

How do I wire money to my Yolo Federal account?

You will need to provide your account number (or member number) to the financial institution the money is coming from. They will also need Yolo Federal's routing number.

How long does it take to process a wire transfer?

Outgoing Wire requests received during regular business days, Monday – Friday, by 1 PM PST will be processed same-day. Wire requests submitted after 1 PM PST on business days, or during weekends and Federal Reserve Holidays will be processed the following business day.

NOTE: The time frame for the recipient to receive the wire funds may vary and be contingent on their financial institution.
